 Mock Interviewing Workshop

Research shows that the more you practice and rehearse your content, the better your delivery. Take advantage of this opportunity to practice your interviewing technique in a safe and supportive environment. This workshop will give you the opportunity to apply learnings from Module 4, and practice your interviewing repeatedly and receive feedback within small groups.

We will be referencing the mini workbook for module 4 and utilizing some of the worksheets so you will need to bring it with you.

New Member Orientation provides SJN attendees information on the SJN organization, differences between SJN and other organizations, benefits of being an SJN member, SJN’s philosophy on job search, SJN’s offerings, SJN’s research-based approach to the Job Search Process Curriculum, and guidance in determining your own plan moving forward.

In an effort to address SJN members' interest in connecting and networking with each other within the same specialty as a means of support, SJN Southeast has implemented SJN Specialty Support Groups.  The specialty group designations are:

#1 - Sales and Marketing (B2B and B2C, Retail, Insurance, Management)

#2 - Human Resources (Generalist, Learning and Development, Senior, Benefits)

#3 - Information Technology (Management, Project)

#4 - Manufacturing / Support (Engineering, Technical, Production, Support, Operations, Management)

#5 - Media and Communications (Business, Print, Electronic)

#6 - Administrative Professionals and Support Personnel

#7 - Education (K-12, College, Adult Learning, Administration, Management)

#8 - Healthcare (Clinical, Non-Clinical)

#9 - Real Estate and Construction (Residential, Commercial, Industrial)

#10 - Finance and Accounting (Internal, Banking, Investing, Management)

#11 - Non-Profit (Grassroots, Management, Administration)

#12 - Business Executive (Director and above)

Registration and Fees

Voluntary donations will be much appreciated to assist in funding ongoing operating costs for this organization.  Suggested donation amount is $5 per meeting.

Due to limited seating capacity, pre-registration is required.  Walk-ins will be seated on a space available basis.

SJN North meets on the 1st and 3rd Tuesdays of each month.

Dress Code
Appropriate interview attire is encouraged.

 

Parking Guidelines: 

November 3 is Election Day, and Temple Chai is a polling center.  All the parking on the campus that is facing east between the main building and the Feinberg Learning Center will be reserved for election use only.  Plan to park on the streets on Marilyn Road and Acoma.  Thank you for your cooperation—this might be a good day to car pool.
